I t all started when the founders, Freddy Ramirez (Mexico), Mario Munno (Spain), and Ingmar Potenza (Italy) put together their efforts & talents to dramatically enhance the way international chess tournaments were organized in Shanghai.
Since then, there have been several great collaborators such as FM Peter Kokol (Slovenia) who is also an amazing chess instructor, Anna Jarnekull (Sweden), Lotus Sun (China), Frank Zheng (China), Sherry Li (China) and several others that have contributed one way or another to make CIS one of the best options to play chess in town, socialize and network in a truly international community with over 70+ nationalities getting together every week.
